Hi Members and Friends,
Beautiful day, no wind, little flow, just dirty water.
Andrew benefitted from a substantial wash ride – improving his recent times by over three minutes, but didn’t go close to his PB, set in March this year? Can we look for further improvement? Russel and Trevor reduced their previous best, by a minute-and-a-half! Mick put in a solid training run for the Hawkesbury – just 40 seconds outside a recent PB. Kent did one of his best times this year. Good to see Sue back in the double, with Greg, after her knee operation. David also had one of his best times this year- as did Allan! Andrew and Gil – two good visiting K1 today paddlers, had an interesting trip, involving wash riding! Michael had been improving his times, until an interruption caused him to miss five months in the kayak, so his performance today was very respectable! John enjoyed himself, without breaking any records. President Ray was “injured” so did well to finish!
Margaret missed her regular Timekeeping mate, who is due back from overseas soon, but did her usual sterling job, regardless! Thank you, everyone, who helped with the “clean-up” chores, today. And “thank you” Andrew, who erected the Bali flags very early, then had a “warm-up paddle! I’ve had many offers of help with the 30km in two weeks – I’ll let you where you are needed!
