Vale David McPherson
In his typically unselfish way, he instructed that he not be resuscitated, should such an occasion arise – complications following removal of his kidneys, some years ago.
We extend our Condolences to his wife Sue, son Scott, daughter Kerrie, and their Families.
He also requested that no funeral be held, with his ashes to be scattered. He was always a “no fuss kind of bloke”, and a “quiet achiever”, who never had a bad word for anyone.
We well remember his many kayaking trips from Brisbane to Darling Harbour – and vice versa, once, raising funds for Kayaking 4 Kemo Kids.
I was lucky enough to accompany Dave on many ocean paddles, and to complete a Hawkesbury Classic with him in 2000 – winning our section.
The attached photos, taken at Tacoma in November 2001, with Dave the central figure, was another occasion in which he featured in Club activities.
