2026-09-13 CCP Winter Series Race 06

Hi Members and Friends,
We tried a new Turn point for the short course today, following the removal of all four Council Water Testing Buoys – one of which we used as a turn for our 7.6 km race.
I guessed it to be about 7.5km, but it was 7.4km – so the Paddlers on the longer course were at a disadvantage – sorry lads!
It was a good day for Clive though – he finished the course! He has been battling serious balance issues for months! And the Flash is not known for its stability! Rob could have had the fastest average speed for some time! John’s and Nick’s speed was “up there” too! Noel and Ken were consistent, while Cam was down a little.
Following another successful day in the “Office,” it was appropriate that the Ladies were treated to Lunch out! Noel and Ken won the Lucky Prizes. Again, all helped packing up – thanks lads! Entries are coming in for the 30km Van Stappen Trophy.
Regards,
Nick.
