2026-08-03 CCP Winter Series Race 03

Hi Members and Friends,

Perhaps, even better conditions for racing than last race!
A good rollup for added interest. We welcomed three visitors – Helen, Elizabeth and Amanda. Unfortunately, Helen capsized while adjusting the foot pedals on her ski, midrace, and lost valuable minutes. Ken returned to the longer course, after 10 months, for a good result! Elizabeth was second, with Ozzie hitching a ride, in the latter stages. The handicapper surprised himself, and Allan earned a PB! John had a good day, as did Marnie – a PB! Rob wasn’t disappointed, and Kent was happy with his effort after a break. Amanda exhibited good form, as did Cam, Trevor, Sue, Russell & Meredith. Alan was back in his Ski, and Jenny had her fourth hit-out, in as many days! Malcolm didn’t advise the handicapper that he has not paddled for months! The Lucky Prizes were won by Helen and Sue. The Caterers/Starters/Finishers, Diana and Margaret, did especially well today, as the Stopwatch Printer failed – resorting to manual timing.
