2026-05-31 CCP Summer Series Race 10

Hi Members and Friends,
A lovely, sunny day greeted us, with just a bit of wind, now and then. The River had risen, to half way up the “steps,” with about a kilometre-an-hour flow – much less than if the catchment had received the coastal rain. Michael was first home, followed by the irrepressible Allan, and the reliable John. Rob had an “uncomfortable” paddle, but still recorded a respectable time. As did Noel and Trevor. The “professionals,” in the K2, did not handle the conditions as well – I can see a change of strategy next race! Back from a “spell,” Malcolm was just “off the pace” also. Margaret again conducted affairs efficiently – thank you Margaret. Rob and Trevor won the Lucky Prizes. A “quick get-way” was indicated, so after refreshments and formalities, everyone helped to pack up. See you next week?
