No rain! Fairly good conditions for racing, despite some light contra wind on the way back, which slowed us slower paddlers surprisingly! Malcolm, and John, just kept going! Andrew revelled in the challenge and produced a good time. Against his expectations, the Handicapper maintained form! We have not seen Alan since August, but he too performed as usual. As did Max, and Rob. Gil set himself a hard task, and nearly succeeded. The multi-talented, and travelled, Cook team also did not disappoint! Noel paddled a “new” craft, which I think will reward him with fast times when he acclimatises to it. Sue will regain her usual speed, after experimenting with a couple of different craft. We wish the four late withdrawals a speedy recovery from your illnesses! Thank you Diana and Margaret for your usual competent proceedings! And all who helped out today.
