2024-10-27 CCP Winter Series Race 08

Hi Members and Friends,

What looked like a “nice” day for a race on the River, turned out to be quite windy – not good for “a light C1 Paddler!” (commiserations, Allan!)

“Paddle-of-the-day” goes to Marni – possibly a seven year PB!

Conversely, I had my slowest time – ever! (due to an unresolved health issue.)

Max maintained his form – Ken was only 2 seconds off his PB – despite the wind, and Malcolm produced another PB!

Ozzie was trialling a Mirage. Paul and Vernise were consistent, under the conditions.

Marnie was not far off her best, despite pleading lack of training!

Michael settled for the shorter distance – experiencing discomfort from a lingering injury.

Russell, and Rob, handled the conditions well, as did Kent, John, David and Sue.

“Thank you” Timekeepers and caterers Diana and Margaret!

Multi – talented Kent produced homemade ANZAC Biscuits – none left!

Relieved to hear that President Ray is home, following surgery, and we wish him a swift recovery!

Malcolm, and Marnie, won the Lucky Prizes.
