Results from Summer Series Race 6, 20th May 2018
Superb weather for Race 5 at Lions Park.
I have no “in race reports”, so can’t share any interesting details!
I welcome any such reports, to add to mine!
Ray and Gina Weekes, both surprised the Handicapper, with a first and second, respectively!
Good to see Rob McPherson in good health again!
Andrew Wilkinson was the lone “Back Marker”, and had the fastest time of the day.
HVPC Visitor, Shane Tagg produced a PB, finishing a second ahead of our “Prodigal Son” – Paul Carter – now living at Caves Beach – good to see you at Lions Park, Paul!
Mick Carroll is well on the “come back trail”, and Cam Tunbridge pushed his reconditioned, older K1 to a PB! Congratulations Cam!
Aidan Shipton “soldiered on”, despite a bad cold, to still record a respectable time.
Good to see Visitor, Paul Stone again!
Warwick Nichols is looking to further improve his times, with a new purchase, despite being only a few seconds off his PB today!
Lyn Tunbridge out-performed her lack of optimism with a win, and a PB! Congratulations, Lyn. HVPC Visitor, Brian Dale, almost caught Lyn, on the line!
Our David Hopkins, then Clive Adams, were next home, with the “lightly raced” duo of President Steve Hill, and Ross Fraser, completed the field.
Our Timekeepers, Diana and Margaret, again, expertly managed proceedings – a fact commented on, by a Visitor! Thank you, Ladies! We also appreciate your vital work!
