Hi Members and Friends,
Conditions were good – not too hot, with a bit of breeze – still humid though.
Clive had the benefit of paddling his craft with new steering cables – always goes faster when you’ve done some work on a boat yourself! Congratulations on a well deserved PB, and a good win, Clive!
I don’t think there were any other PBs, but solid times, none the less! There are a few start times which will need scrutiny to meet the target finish time of 5:45:00.
Nathan had the misfortune to snap a paddle blade after about five kilometres, but still did a respectable time, finishing with one blade!
I noticed a flock of Nankeen Herons in trees on the river bank, soon after the start. Are they massing for a departure? The males were looking very “French” in their black berets and tassels.
