Hi Members and Friends,
What a race!
Light wind against us at start, and as usual, it was not there at the finish – but pretty good conditions.
Everyone was “having a go,” but Mick had warmed up, and really “had a go!”
Congratulations, Mick, on the Series PB!
Bob Turner, from PaddleNSW, rang us to say that they will announce what is happening with the State Series Races.
So, we had a Committee Meeting this afternoon, after the Time Trial, and discussed what we are doing about our Club Races – while appropriate.
We will have Club Races in a similar format to the Time Trials. A digital clock on shore, and Paddlers are responsible to start at the time designated by the published Start Times. Paddlers to email their elapsed time and finishing position to the Handicapper – unless there is a volunteer on hand to collate the results and email to the handicapper. Points will be awarded as usual, and hopefully, some Prizes at the end of year.
There will be no Race Fee, no MT, and no prizes.
