Future for club races

Hi Members and Friends,
After much discussion and several revised plans, we have decided to continue with our Wednesday Evening Time Trials – but run differently.
Our normal Sunday Club Races are cancelled until further notice.
We are advised that it is beneficial to continue to exercise in a safe, “non-contact” manner. Our Sport provides that.
We propose to encourage participation in the following way –
Paddle at a “local” course for preference – to reduce travelling – and at a convenient time for you during the preceding five or six days, which will further reduce “contact concentration.”
Use a GPS to determine the 7.5km distance and/or establish a “course” for convenience and consistency.
Email your elapsed time to the Handicapper, who will publish the Results and next “Start Times” asap following the preceding Race.
If you wish to take part, email your entry, including the type of craft you will use, to the Handicapper.
There is no Entry Fee.
Our intention is to maintain sporting interest, and good health, within the health guidelines.
Regards,
Nick Naughton,
Secretary and Handicapper,
CCP.
ps. the Wyong River “course” should be re-established soon, as Council is keen to replace all the yellow Water Monitoring Buoys – one of which we used for our 7.5km Course. The Buoys were removed for repair, following the recent flood.
