2017 CENTRAL COAST CANOE CLUB CALENDAR,
"What a difference a day makes!"
The evening before, the prediction was most discouraging for our Wednesday evening 7.5km Time Trial.
But conditions were perfect - no flow in the River - and a few cooling breezes!
First off was Peter Brennan, in his Flyer, having his first "competitive" paddle for about four years.
This email is addresses to clubs with marathon paddlers...asking you to email your members and encourage them to submit a last minute entry for national marathon championships in Sydney on 11-12 March.
Early entries have been extended until Friday 3 March (but don't leave it to the last minute!)

The strong wind gusts didn't stop us, but they did slow us down!
Rob McPherson, in his Flash, seemed unperturbed by the conditions, establishing a sizable lead toward the final quarter of the 7.5km, almost reaching 10km/hr.
Jim Buckland, however, was slowed by the conditions, and was a little "off the pace."
A big welcome to the contingent of Newy Paddlers who visited today! Most visiting here for the first time - some having their first race!
I'm confident that they enjoyed, and appreciated, the excellent racing conditions provided by Wyong River.

The night before, it was a difficult decision for the Organiser, HVPC, whether to race, or not!
Even with hindsight, it was borderline!
However, come racetime, it could have been even hotter, but thankfully, there were some fleeting breezes!
It would be a day of “singularities” – one (perhaps two) withdraw...
