Election of Committee for 2017 and Name Change for the Club

The 2017 AGM for Central Coast Canoe Club was held on July 2nd at Wyong Bowling Club.

Steve Hill was returned as President, Nick Naughton as Secretary, Anne Cowper as Treasurer, and Margaret Naughton to the Committee. Cam Tunbridge  who was previously a Committee Member, is now Vice President with Mick Carroll, a former President of the Club and Ross Fraser joining the Committee. We thank Dave McPherson and Gina Weekes, (who did not seek re-election), for their service to the Club. 

Anne Moore continues as Public Officer, while Steve will handle Publicity and Nick will continue in the role of Handicapper. 

Owen Walton and Ross Fraser are the PNSW Delegates and Diana Hopkins and Margaret Naughton are continuing the vital job of Timekeepers.

The Members voted favourably to consider a name change for the Club, and after some discussion, the Committee’s recommendation, “Central Coast Paddlers” was endorsed unanimously. After further discussion, the Members also voted in favour of a change the Club logo however the existing Club Colours of blue and yellow will be retained.

Members are invited to submit concepts for the design of the new logo and a prize will be awarded for the most popular design. The judging will be after the Winter Series Race 3 on July 30th so ideally concepts should be sent to Nick or Steve before that date so they can be printed on A4 sheet for display. If you are unable to send it, please bring your concept on an A4 sheet of paper.
