Results for Summer Time Trial, 10th January 2018
We started the year’s Time Trials with five Paddlers – all blokes – where were the Ladies?
Despite little training, Jim Buckland maintained a good pace to win by a clear margin! Rob McPherson, who admits to getting some training in, also finished strongly. The Handicapper has to confess to wash riding Rob for the first half, before being left a few lengths behind, after the turn, as the Flash is unsurpassed in turning ability! I could not be too disappointed with my performance in the old TK1!
New to K1 lately, Ross Fraser probably found the combined wash from the Flash and the TK1 a bit difficult, as he caught came within the wash influence.
Steve put in an apology, due to late work commitments.
I was thankful we didn’t have the really hot temperatures, as I for one would not have been able to race wearing a Lifejacket!
