2024-11-10 CCP Winter Series Race 09

Hi Members and Friends,

Brownish water, but calm, with only slight flow. Little wind.

In an amazing “turnaround,” Marnie produced an 18 month PB!
Russell impressed with his best time for five months.
Malcolm showed his true style – only 3 seconds off his PB!
Ken was hoping to better 9km/hr – did that, and a PB, since switching to the Flyer!
Kent is building his performances nicely.
Sue is becoming a seasoned K1 paddler!
Allan “knows his way down a river” (and back), but can be troubled by high winds.
Max has put together a consistent set.
Clive, and John, just keep paddling.
Cam “ran out of condition.”
Vernise and Paul had a hard day yesterday.
Andrew is sorting out which craft to concentrate on, but still did a good time.
David did not have a good day, in contrast to his “1 year PB” recently.
I didn’t get to chat with both Andy, and Marni, who seem to be trying new craft.

I’d like to thank the “helpers” who keep the wheels turning – Timekeepers – Diana and Margaret, and Rob, who turned up for “work,” despite battling a lurgy.
Cam, and David, won the Lucky Prizes.
A warm welcome to new Member Sue!

Congratulations to the “multi talented” Kent on his culinary creation today – scrumptious Anzac bikkies!
“Just the right consistency” were the comments!

(No Points tally this Race to spoil the drama – all will be revealed next race, at “Presentation!”)

Regards,
Nick.
